We are happy to say that we finally achieved the final goal of our journey of 3D printing of magnets. For the first time we demonstrate the in-situ alignment of the magnetic moment in additive manufacturing with a modified 3D printer. This allows us to locally define the easy axis of magnets pixel by voxel by voxel.
This paves the way to fabricate magnets that can not be produced by any other means. For instance, the direct printing of Halbach arrays becomes possible.
