Featured article on JAP


Our new paper on heat assisted recording has been selected as featured article by the Journal of applied physics.

We are pleased to announce that our paper on noise reduction in heat-assisted magnetic recording in bit-patterned media has been selected as a featured article in Journal of Applied Physics. Featured articles are chosen by the Editors of the journal and mark the top articles. The paper was published in Journal of Applied Physics Volume 122, Issue 21, on December 7, 2017. In this article, we present a method to optimize heat-assisted magnetic recording media by decreasing magnetic noise. This can lead to a significant increase of the areal storage density in hard disk drives.
